"Guizhou Red Stories" series project launch and seminar

On June 4, the launch of the "Guizhou Red Stories" series project and the first compilation seminar were held in Guiyang.

The launch of the series project and the seminar were jointly organized by the Guizhou Provincial Communist Party History Society and Kong Xuetang Bookstore, Yu Furen, Deputy Director of the Party History Research Office of the CPC Guizhou Provincial Committee and Executive President of the Guizhou Provincial Communist Party History Society, Su Hua, leader of Guizhou Daily Contemporary Media Group and chief editor of Kong Xuetang Bookstore, The person in charge of Guizhou Red Site Memorial Hall, party history experts and the author of series of paintings attended the meeting. Relevant staff of Guizhou Provincial Communist Party History Society and Kong Xuetang Bookstore attended the meeting as nonvoting delegates.

The Party History Research Office of the CPC Guizhou Provincial Committee attached great importance to and affirmed the compilation and publication of the "Guizhou Red Stories" series. Du Dan, director of the Party History Research Office of the CPC Guizhou Provincial Committee, and Qin Aihua, deputy director of the Party History Research Office of the CPC Guizhou Provincial Committee, visited the participants and talked about it before the meeting.

The series of "Guizhou Red Stories" is a boutique book dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China under the guidance of the Party History Research Office of the CPC Guizhou Provincial Committee, and jointly planned and published by the Party History Society of Guizhou Province and the Kong Xuetang Bookstore affiliated to Guizhou Daily Contemporary Media Group. The series takes the unique red culture in Guizhou as the main line, takes the red revolutionary sites in Guizhou as the entry point, integrates stories and illustrations, deeply excavates the red historical and cultural resources in Guizhou, improves the connotation of the red tourism brand in Guizhou, inherits and promotes the red culture, and tells the red stories of Guizhou, Try to provide more useful references and good reading materials for Party spirit education and patriotism education for the majority of Party members, cadres and the masses, and cooperate with the construction of Guizhou Long March National Cultural Park.

The series of "Guizhou Red Stories" is an open topic of large-scale red culture, which is planned to be published in multiple editions. The first edition (the Long March Stories) to be launched in 2021 will be 10 volumes in total, including Liping Conference, Houchang Conference and the forced crossing of Wujiang River, Zunyi Conference, the four crossing of Chishui, the establishment and activities of the Guizhou Provincial Working Committee of the Communist Party of China, the Zunyi Campaign, the Battle of Trapping Niushan, Muhuang Meeting Ten important events of the Red Army's Long March, such as the Wumengshan Roundabout and the Panxian Conference, which are representative and influential in Guizhou, were compiled and published. In 2021, the compilation and publication of the second series of books will be started.

Zhang Faxian, deputy editor in chief of Kong Xuetang Bookstore, introduced the planning, compilation ideas and plans of the series in detail at the meeting; Jiang Hongtao, Deputy General Manager of Kong Xuetang Bookstore, introduced the promotion of books in the later period; The illustrator of the series, Mi Haibing, chairman of Hunan Haibin Animation, made a detailed introduction on the related work of the series drawings.

Experts from the Party history departments of Guiyang City, Zunyi City, Bijie City, Tongren City, Xishui County, Shiqian County, Panzhou City and other cities and counties, as well as the memorial halls of Liping, Houchang, Zunyi, Panxian County, Muhuang, etc., exchanged and made speeches one by one around the content, compilation style, presentation form and other related matters of the series, conducted comprehensive and in-depth discussions, reached consensus on the compilation of the series, and clarified the task. Su Hua put forward work requirements for the compilation and publication of the series, and answered the questions raised by the compilation experts one by one.

At last, Yu Furen made a summary speech and put forward the "three passes" for the publication of the "Guizhou Red Stories" series: first, improve the ideological understanding and control the political pass. From the perspective of national and provincial contributions to the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Party, launch influential representative achievements; From the perspective of Guizhou key construction area of the National Long March Cultural Park, high-quality cultural products are launched; From the perspective of transforming the research achievements of the Party history into popular reading materials of red culture, we launched classic works of red culture. The second is to implement work responsibilities and ensure quality. The core role of the three teams of the Party history department, universities and scientific research institutes should be fully played in reviewing the draft, and efforts should be made to create excellent works in terms of writing creation, painting publishing, binding design, etc. Third, we should work together to achieve win-win results and ensure good issuance. All parties worked together to promote and publicize the books in primary and secondary schools based on memorial venues and red tourist attractions, increase circulation, expand social influence and further realize the double benefits of the series.

The launch of the series project and the seminar were presided over by Li Chaogui, director of the Second Research Division of the Party History Research Office of the Provincial Party Committee, and vice president of the CPC History Society of Guizhou Province.
