In order to advocate and promote families and the whole society to attach importance to the prevention and control of myopia among children and adolescents, Guiyang Yunyan District Touqiao Community Health Service Center actively responded to the call of the National Health Commission and actively carried out the prevention and control of myopia among adolescents.

On November 9, the medical staff of the Touqiao Community Health Service Center in Yunyan District, Guiyang City walked into the street and organized a health education consultation activity for the residents of the community to prevent and control myopia among children and adolescents, distribute relevant health publicity materials and popular science knowledge to the residents of the street, and introduce effective measures to prevent and control myopia to the residents. Five kinds of publicity materials were distributed, 840 copies in total.

On November 10, Touqiao Community Health Service Center also carried out the "enlightenment action" - the lecture on health education knowledge of myopia prevention and control for children and adolescents. In particular, two national senior optometrists, Director Hu Jinping and Director Xin Shoufei, who focus on the field of myopia prevention and control for children and adolescents, were invited to bring wonderful Interesting knowledge lectures.

The two directors opened with three quizzes, and the students were very enthusiastic and participated in them. In the lecture, a structural map of eyes led the students to understand our eyes. The two directors also made a detailed analysis to the students from the causes of myopia, the key points of prevention and control, and the methods of prevention and control.

At the end of the lecture, the two directors also checked the eyes of students with special eyesight in the class.

This consultation activity and lecture further let residents and children understand the necessity of myopia prevention and control, as well as effective myopia prevention and control methods.

Myopia can be prevented, controlled and irreversible. Early prevention, early detection and early intervention are needed to build a "protective wall" for myopia, create a visual friendly environment that protects the eyes of children and adolescents, and jointly protect their eyes, so that they can have a bright future.
