Recently, reporters from The Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs of Guizhou Province learned that, In order to further standardize the behavior of urban dog raising in the province and maintain social public safety, after extensive consultation in the early stage, the List of Fierce Dogs in Guizhou Province and the Shoulder Height and Weight Standards for Large Dogs (Announcement [2019] No. 9 of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs of Guizhou Province) issued in 2019 were revised, and the newly revised standard will be implemented from October 1, 2024.

The list of severe dogs in Guizhou Province and the notice of large dog standard (revised version) are as follows:

1、 List of Fierce Dogs

Tibetan Mastiff, Bitter Dog, Turkish Kango, Rottweiler, Wolf Green Dog, Kunming Dog, Horse Dog (Malinua, Belgian Malinows), Afghan Hound, Argentinian Dugao, Brazilian Feller, Japanese Tuzo, Central Asian Shepherd Dog, East Sichuan Hound, Russian Shepherd Dog (Russian Wolfhound), Bull Terrier (Bullhead), British Mastiff The Italian Castro, the French Bordeaux, the Russian Caucasian, the Weimar hound, the Cheddar, the Newfoundland, the Great Dane, the German Shepherd, the Doberman (except for the mini Doberman), the Italian Newpolitan, the Stanford Bull Terrier (Stanford Bullfight), the Chow Lion, the Akita, the Czech Wolfhound, the Baxianji, and the hybrid dogs with the above pedigrees.

2、 Standard for large dogs

Shoulder height 60 cm and above.

This circular will come into force on October 1, 2024. If there is any adjustment, it will be announced to the public again. The former List of Fierce Dogs in Guizhou Province and the Shoulder Height and Weight Standards for Large Dogs issued by the Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs of Guizhou Province (Announcement [2019] No. 9) shall be repealed at the same time.
