In 1973, Huang Junqiong was born into a peasant family in Shanbei Village, Jianggu Town. She has experienced the hardships of the countryside since she was young, and she has also developed a hard-working, strong and unyielding character. When her father became a private teacher, he paid more attention to her education. Her biggest dream is to grow up and become a teacher.
Huang Junqiong is smart, studious and hardworking. She was admitted to Tianzhu Normal School for Nationalities with excellent results. In August 1992, she resolutely gave up the opportunity to work in the city and returned to her hometown to become a rural teacher. She knew that the children in the mountains needed her more.
When she stepped onto the three foot platform, she took "being a good teacher" as her goal, worked conscientiously and diligently, consulted the seniors and learned from her peers. Soon, she entered the role. More and more students like her in class, and she always prepares and attends classes carefully. After class, she reflects and summarizes in time, and her education and teaching level continues to improve. In May 2003, she became a Communist Party member with honor and devoted herself to her work with higher enthusiasm and sense of responsibility.
In teaching, she found that students' reading habits were poor, so she tried to cultivate them well. Huang Junqiong, 48, is affectionately called "Mother Huang" by many left behind children. She takes care of her students, especially the left behind children, with motherly love. There are more than 300 left behind children in Jianggu Town Central Primary School where she teaches. She and her colleagues regard these children as their own children, not only helping them learn, but also taking care of their lives.
Every morning, she goes to school to lead students to read in the morning, and then begins classroom teaching, organizes students to exercise, takes care of students' meals and lunch breaks, and tutors students to study at night. After self-study the next night, she checked the students' bedtime and left school at 10 o'clock at night to go home. In the dead of night, she began to concentrate on preparing lessons. This is the normal work of rural teachers, especially class teachers.
Hard work pays off.
