Baiyangdong Community Happy Canteen was founded in June 2022. Before that, it was a day care center for the elderly.
It is reported that Baiyangdong Community was a typical "shell community" at the beginning of its establishment, with a large proportion of the elderly population. In 2019, with the concern of the local civil affairs bureau, the community actively explored the community elderly care service model of "institutional care+community day care", and built a 450 square meter day care center for the elderly in Baiyangdong Community.
In recent years, Baiyangdong Community has found that the number of elderly and floating population in the area is increasing, and the elderly are not convenient to cook or eat too single.
"The original simple care mode of the day care center for the middle-aged and elderly can no longer meet their growing needs.
