Good news! Moutai won many industry awards

On March 22, during the 20th China International Wine Expo, China Wine Association held the sixth (enlarged) meeting of the sixth board of directors. Wang Li, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and General Manager of Moutai Group, attended the meeting.

The meeting commended the winners of the first "Moutai Cup" Chinese liquor body design contest, the eighth "Wine City Debate · Wine Tasting Competition" National Wine Taster Competition, and the award-winning projects of the 2023 "Science and Technology Award of China Alcohol Industry Association" Selection Meeting. Five people in Moutai won the "National Brewing Industry Technical Expert", seven people were shortlisted in the top ten of the "Eighth National Wine Taster Competition", and the project "Research and Development and Application of Key Technology for Evaluation and Selection of Soy Sauce Flavored Liquor koji making Wheat" declared by Moutai Wine Co., Ltd. won the second prize of the "Science and Technology Award of China Wine Association".


In September 2023, the first "Moutai Cup" Chinese liquor body design contest will be held in Moutai. In the Maotai flavor liquor design competition, Moutai won the first, second and third prizes, and the top 15 players were all from Moutai. Among them, the top five players Ge Banggui, Hu Kun, Ye Caihu, Jiang Jun and Chang Bao were awarded the honorary title of "National Technical Expert in the Wine Industry".


From March 17 to 18, the 8th National Wine Taster Competition of "Wine City Debate · Wine Tasting Competition" was held in Luzhou, attracting 180 wine tasters from 76 well-known wine enterprises across the country. Jiang Jun, Zhang Wei, Zhao Jiajie, Zhang Rong, Tang Hongyan, Ao Sheng and Zhang Xiaolong selected by Maotai were among the top ten, and Jiang Jun won the first place.


The application project of Maotai Liquor Co., Ltd., Research and Development and Application of Key Technology for Evaluation and Breeding of Koji making Wheat for Maotai Liquor, centered on the research and development of key technology for breeding new wheat varieties for liquor making, has constructed an accurate evaluation system for the quality of wheat for liquor making, analyzed the genetic mechanism of the formation of grain hardness, a key quality indicator of wheat for liquor making, and established an efficient breeding system for wheat for liquor making, We have cultivated new wheat varieties with independent intellectual property rights for liquor making, developed high-quality and efficient cultivation techniques for new varieties, and effectively guaranteed the quality and safety of wheat raw materials for liquor making. During the project, 7 new varieties were bred, 4 new variety authorizations were obtained, 5 national invention patents were applied, 2 papers were published, and 1 local standard was issued.
