Recently, Guizhou Aerospace Wujiang Electromechanical Equipment Co., Ltd. and a domestic company jointly developed the oil drilling cuttings treatment equipment for industrial trial run successfully. All equipment indicators met the design objectives and requirements, realizing the effective expansion of the application of supercritical fluid technology in the field of environmental governance.


Petroleum drilling cuttings contain a large amount of mineral oil, main and auxiliary emulsifiers, fluid loss additives, weighting agents and plugging agents, which are typical hazardous wastes in the exploration and development of oil and gas resources. They will cause serious pollution to the surrounding environment, and the volatile organic compounds generated in the decomposition process will also cause harm to people. In addition, the content of mineral oil in waste oil-based drilling mud and oil-bearing drilling cuttings at home and abroad is about 15% - 45%. Taking white oil-based drilling mud as an example, the unit value is about 12000 yuan/m3, and the value of synthetic based mud is higher. However, there was a lack of means and methods for rational utilization before.

In view of the above problems, Aerospace Wujiang has cooperated with a domestic company to develop supercritical extraction oil drilling cuttings treatment equipment since 2021, and is committed to realizing on-site harmless treatment of oil drilling cuttings and resource recovery and utilization. After nearly three years of exploration and research, a set of 1000 liter industrial petroleum drilling cuttings treatment equipment has been successfully developed. Combined with a large number of industrial tests and verifications, the design and process plan have been continuously optimized in the process, and key technologies such as pipeline blockage prevention technology, equipment vibration prevention technology and skid mounted integrated design technology have been overcome, and the design goal has been successfully achieved. The oil content of oil-based drilling cuttings treated by supercritical CO2 extraction equipment is less than 0.3%, and the oil phase recovery rate is more than 96%. The hazardous waste with high oil content has been successfully transformed into ordinary solid waste meeting environmental protection requirements, which can be buried or disposed on the spot, and the oil phase recovery has been realized, with significant economic and environmental benefits.


The successful industrial trial operation of this set of equipment provides a new process and method for green treatment of drilling oily sludge, and has a broad application prospect. Based on the annual output of 20-320000 tons of drilling oily sludge, the recoverable oil phase materials are about 40000 to 80000 tons, and the environmental protection technical service fees and oil phase recovery benefits have accumulated more than 200 million yuan. While saving oil phase resources, it has protected the ecological environment, created economic and ecological benefits, and helped to achieve the goal of "double carbon".


Aerospace Wujiang is one of the first batch of enterprises to enter the field of supercritical fluid technology in China. Since the first set of supercritical fluid technology equipment was produced in 1998, it has adhered to the integrated development path of "industry, university and research", continued to increase research and development efforts, strengthened cooperation with scientific research institutes and universities, and filled in the efficient continuous extraction technology, efficient heat recovery technology The gap in supercritical fluid technology, such as automatic loading and unloading technology, has realized the leap forward development from follow-up design, independent research and development to innovative research.
