Most of the young and middle-aged rural labor force go out to work, accompany their children to school in cities and towns or settle in cities and towns, while the elderly stay in the countryside due to cultural, lifestyle and economic conditions. Nowadays, the problem of rural elderly care in underdeveloped areas is serious, which is the focus of Wei Wei, member of the Standing Committee of the CPPCC National Committee and president of Guizhou Normal University, during his performance of duties in the past year.
"If we solve the problem of" one old man and one young man ", young people will work better outside. Last year we focused on the problem of" one young man ", and this year I focused more on the problem of" one old man ". Wei Wei has been thinking about how to contribute education to the problem of rural elderly care? To this end, she conducted in-depth research in Yinjiang and other places before the meeting, invited teachers and students to discuss digital education to help rural elderly care services, and listened to everyone's voice. During this year's two sessions of the National People's Political Consultative Conference, she submitted relevant proposals to the second session of the 14th CPPCC National Committee focusing on strengthening digital education to address rural aging.
The proposal points out that at present, China's rural areas already have a certain digital hardware and software foundation, making it possible to carry out digital education for the elderly in rural areas. At the same time, some aging universities and open universities have gained relevant experience in practical exploration, which can provide reference for the effective implementation of digital education for rural elderly.
"From the survey, it is found that there are still some problems such as the educational nature of the rural elderly digital education platform is weak, the digital education technology is not suitable for aging, the supply quality of learning resources is low, the operation mechanism of digital education is not perfect, and the effect of the existing main means of education empowerment is not ideal," said Wei Wei.
In view of the current situation of the rural elderly, Wei Wei put forward three suggestions. First, establish a resource supply system in which the government, enterprises and public institutions, and public welfare organizations participate to ensure the stability of resource supply; Establish a regulatory system based on public welfare, and prohibit the use of learning platforms to promote products.
Secondly, promote the "aging and convenient" transformation of digital technology education, and improve the construction of distance learning support system; Develop high-quality digital education resources with "universality and diversity" to meet the personalized learning needs of different groups.
Thirdly, we should follow the principle of building a learning service team of "the able are the teachers", build a rural "the able" teacher team, and provide online and offline learning guidance services for the learning needs of the elderly.
