VicStory | Slow Motion: Dancing, "Comets"

When you have had the chance to experience living abroad, so many things change inside oneself. Maybe because of the pandemic or biological reasons happening in my body, I've reached a certain status in which I see everything through different eyes, as well as Spanish, I can't help to behold with truly curiosity.

When you live in a strange country, many changes will take place in your heart. Maybe because of the influence of the environment or some physiological factors, I have learned to look at everything in a different way, and I will always observe the world with curiosity involuntarily.

Several places in this city are prone to be occupied by myriads of residents who spend their free time by enjoying a wide variety of leisure activities. Such these large open places, tend to be located in the heart of towns and by this time, I will focus on two sceneries which are two of this city's most representative places, Zhucheng Square and Huaguoyuan Wetland Park. As models of typical city squares, each one has its own features.

In Guiyang, there are several places where people always come and go. Citizens come here to carry out various leisure activities in their spare time. Such large open spaces are often located in the city center. This time I will focus on the two most representative places - Zhucheng Square and Huaguoyuan Wetland Park. As city squares, these two places have their own characteristics.

According to Britannica.com, sociology would be roughly the social science in charge of studying human societies synergies, and the mechanisms that uphold and modify them. Such a meaning has a lot of to dowith a sort of human beings' behaviour establishes among us as well as how we care of and preserve it.

The website of Encyclopedia Britannica shows that sociology is a social science that studies the operation and development of human society, and maintains and changes this mechanism. The significance of sociology is to study the behavior of human groups, and how to pay attention to and protect these behaviors.

One aspect caught my heed was people street gatherings around a makeshift table while playing cards or Chinese chess. Every moment is suitable to meet other person, plus the fact that social habits are a valuable feature here in China. Thus far, this is the most comparable aspect between Chinese and Spanish, and the southern Spanish region where we come from, such customs are quite typical. Indeed, there is no self-respecting Andalusian Street where you cannot see a gather in every house's door – at least, in the Andalusia that remains in my mind. So, it's most likely groups of people are seen sitting while chatting when the warm weather arrives.

In the streets of Guiyang, you can often see people in groups, playing cards or playing chess around simple tables. This kind of occasion is very suitable for meeting new friends, and the Chinese people themselves attach great importance to interpersonal relations. So far, this is the most comparable place between Chinese and Spanish. My hometown is located in southern Spain, where people gather together like this is a common thing. In fact, on the streets of Andalusia, people in twos and threes can be seen at the door of almost every family - at least in memory. When the weather is warm, people can often be seen sitting together and chatting in Andalusia.

Placed in Nanming District, we could say that Zhucheng Square is the best-known exponent that illustrates absolutely how a plaza should be. Needless to say, the main feature would be the shiny golden bamboo statue placed just in the center whose meaning could be related to the nature significance over the years. Even, as a particular aspect, this bamboo-shaped figure has been set as the symbol of the people of Guiyang which gives off a futuristic aura, as well. I would also highlight the Chinese zodiac animals on its the periphery as something distinctive enough to overlook.

Zhucheng Square, located in Nanming District, reflects the style and features of a city square. Zhucheng Square is characterized by the glittering "Zhuyun" statue in the center of the square. This statue has stood here for many years, aiming to highlight the importance of harmony between man and nature. Not only that, it is also a symbol of Guiyang's spiritual culture, emitting a sense of futurism. In addition, the twelve zodiac figures around the square are also very distinctive and eye-catching.

As for the human aspect, it is argued that we all are social beings and, indeed, that is why we are in need of knitting bonds amongst us, any time is good for checking it out every day at Zhucheng Square. From the man flying the kite to the teenager skateboarding, from the kids cycling to groups of women dancing, from the parents having a great time with their children to the elderly enjoying the moment while having a well-deserved rest, everything turns into a movie sequence like a slow-motion scene. Zhucheng Square is, in fact, one of my favourite must-see places to visit, it's a totum revolutum of movements, sounds, colours, and the pleasures that are the stuff of human relationships and eventually life. Letitia Elizabeth Landon's words, once said, are particularly timely, "Society is like a large piece of frozen water, and skating well is the great art of social life".

Some people say that people have social attributes, and we need interaction. On this point, you are welcome to come to Zhucheng Square to personally verify it at any time. From kite flying people to skateboarding teenagers, from children riding bicycles to women dancing in the square, from families enjoying parent-child time to old people enjoying leisure time, every picture here is like a slow shot in a movie. In fact, Zhucheng Square is one of my favorite places to punch cards. The joy of action, voice, color and interpersonal communication is interwoven into a harmonious whole. Letizia Elizabeth Langdon once said that it is particularly appropriate: "society is like a large ice surface. How to keep balance and dance on the ice surface is a great art of social life."

Placed in front of the White House (Huaguoyuan Arts Center), Huaguoyuan Wetland Park, has indirectly been in the background of former articles when I tackled the issue of architecture by talking about certain buildings. I could say that if this park is featured for something particular is to be an indefatigable groundbreaking location, being alive almost 24-7. The wide endless offer you can choose in your spare time is responsible for making quite pretty impossible getting bored. Just for the contemplation itself it is really worth it the time.

Huaguoyuan Wetland Park is located in front of the White House (Huaguoyuan Art Center). I mentioned it in the article "Random Talk about Guiyang Architecture". If there is anything special about this park, it is that it is full of vitality day and night, almost all the time. There are many kinds of entertainment activities here, and it is impossible to be bored in any case, because even just sitting there in a daze will not be a waste of time.

 Page 2-5.PNG

To draw an analogy between Zhucheng Square and Huaguoyuan Wetland Park, I would say that they would depict, at a given time, the day and night respectively while both of them would share their will to live intensely. I have experienced day and night there, and I can conclude by saying that when the sun sets, life switch on with all the strength of neon colours, music and dancing everywhere.

As for the similarities between Zhucheng Square and Huaguoyuan Wetland Park, I think that although they represent the different living conditions of Guiyang City during the day and at night, they are full of intense fun in life. I have been to Huaguoyuan Wetland Park both day and night. When the sun sets, neon lights flash, music is melodious, dancing is light, and life begins.

Afterwards

The words written at the end of the article

An anecdote that maybe has nothing to do with this matter is that I have recently realised I usually smile at the people when looking at me, as a funny thing I can't help it; then I think everyone who looks at me can also think I'm going slightly mad though peace and bliss come out through my pores. Obviously, that's the city effect over me so I just wanted to share for you to understand I've regained a certain self-belief.

Although it has nothing to do with this topic, I think of an anecdote. I recently realized that when I look at people, I can't help smiling at them - how interesting it is. But then I would think that although I tried to show calmness and friendliness, people might think I was crazy. Obviously, I was cured by this city. I found myself again.

The renowned Greek philosopher, Aristotle, once said, "Man is by nature a social animal; an individual who is unsocial naturally and not accidentally is either beneath our notice or more than human. Society is something that precedes the individual".

Aristotle, the famous philosopher of ancient Greece, once said: "Human beings are naturally social animals. People who live in isolation are either gods or beasts. Society exists before individuals."
