A museum at home: Master of a Lantern Museum

Visitors to the ancient city of Kaifeng in central China's Henan Province may stumble across an old house where dozens of lanterns are on display. This is the Bianjing Lantern Zhang Museum. It was established by Zhang Juntao, a seventh-generation inheritor of the Bianjing lantern tradition listed as part of the nation's intangible cultural heritage.


Tourists visiting the ancient city of Kaifeng in Henan Province may come across an old house with dozens of lanterns on display. This is the museum of "Bianjing Lantern Zhang". The person in charge of this museum is Zhang Juntao, the seventh generation successor of "Bianjing Lantern Zhang" in Kaifeng, and it is he who created this museum.
