With the continuous expansion of China's visa free "circle of friends" and the increasingly close communication between Chinese and foreign personnel, Bank of China Guizhou Branch has launched a series of measures to optimize payment services and improve payment convenience to provide more high-quality and efficient payment services for foreign visitors to China.

The People's Bank of China has put forward the working idea of "large amount card swiping, small amount code scanning, and cash payment" for foreigners to use payment services in China. At the same time, in terms of overseas bank card acceptance, it has guided commercial banks and payment institutions to accelerate the opening of foreign card acceptance by key merchants in major foreign-related places.

In order to actively respond to the policies of the People's Bank of China, the Bank of China has continued to improve the payment services for overseas visitors, launched the English version of the non resident applet "BOC Compass Service One Stop" (WeChat applet for overseas customers), integrated financial products and services commonly used by foreigners and compatriots from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan, and provided a comprehensive domestic financial guide, To meet the needs of consumption settlement, savings and investment after entry, facilitate overseas customers to easily understand foreign exchange related policies and information, adapt to domestic life more quickly, and provide mobile banking in foreign languages, open foreign currency cash reservation in mobile banking and "BOC cross-border GO" APP, and provide customers with convenient and time-saving financial services.

At present, the 327 ATM devices owned by the Guizhou Branch of Bank of China all support the 7 * 24 RMB cash withdrawal business of five mainstream international bank cards issued overseas, namely UnionPay, Visa, Mastercard, JCB and Amway, and the operation interface supports multilingual services in China, Britain, Japan and South Korea. For overseas visitors to China, the Bank realized the convenient integration of "foreign currency cash exchange" and "RMB zero wallet" in all outlets under its jurisdiction, effectively solving the pain points of domestic cash exchange and use. Foreign visitors to China can apply for opening domestic debit cards or credit cards at any branch of the bank with valid certificates. After depositing RMB in the debit card, they can pay by swiping the card at domestic merchants. They can also bind the debit card or credit card with mobile banking, cloud flash payment, WeChat, Alipay and other APPs of the Bank of China, which can realize code scanning and online payment functions.

By the end of March, Bank of China Guizhou Branch had opened 221 foreign card acquiring merchants, including hotels, pharmacies, restaurants and other merchants with major consumption needs. The Bank will actively expand consumer businesses such as hotels, tourism, catering, supermarkets, pharmacies, entertainment, etc., and plans to increase the number of foreign card businesses to 380 by the end of 2024 and gradually open the foreign card acceptance function.

In the next stage, Bank of China Guizhou Branch will accelerate the optimization and upgrading of foreign-related payment service system, comprehensively improve the level of payment services, continuously enhance the inclusiveness and convenience of payment services, and contribute more BOC strength to Guizhou's high-level opening up by providing payment services in various forms, full coverage, efficiency and accessibility.
