Blue dyeing is an ancient printing and dyeing process. As a national intangible cultural heritage, it has a history of thousands of years. Its production process is complex, and it has to go through more than ten links, such as picking blue, beating indigo, dyeing cloth, rinsing, drying, etc.

Rongjiang County, Qiandongnan Miao and Dong Autonomous Prefecture, Guizhou Province, is the only place in China where the complete living industrial chain and lifestyle of "blue dye" are preserved. There are many national craftsmen engaged in blue dye production.

As a world-class intangible cultural heritage in Rongjiang, Blue Dye is rooted in the local natural endowment and cultural vitality, and has begun to link the industrial chain of planting, processing and tourism.
