On October 23, 2024 Colorful Guizhou Culture and Art Festival with the theme of "Colorful Harmony of the Earth" opened in Guiyang. Xu Lin, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Director of the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Congress, Li Bingjun, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Governor, Zhao Yongqing, Chairman of the CPPCC Provincial Committee, Lu Yongzheng, Guo Xiwen, Wang Zhong, Cai Chaolin and Chen Jian, provincial leaders, attended the opening ceremony and watched the performance with people from all walks of life.

At the opening ceremony, writers and artists gave wonderful performances. The children's chorus "Children in the Mountain" is simple and pure, the Beijing opera "Blue Sea, Loyal Heart, Qi Jiguang" is magnificent, and the dance drama "Tianchandi Nuo" organically combines Nuo opera, Dong nationality's big song, modern dance and other elements, fully demonstrating the rich achievements of Guizhou's literary and artistic creation and the spiritual outlook of literary and artistic workers. The song "Follow You Closely" is cheerful and enthusiastic, expressing the firm determination of Guizhou people to keep in mind their wishes, to be grateful and forge ahead, and to work tirelessly to write a chapter of Chinese modernization in Guizhou. Taking Lin Qing, the first secretary of the Guizhou Provincial Working Committee of the Communist Party of China, as the creation prototype, the large-scale symphonic Guizhou opera "Monument without Words" vividly tells the story of the Guizhou Communist Party fighting on the hidden front who died bravely for the revolutionary cause, pays homage to the revolutionary martyrs, keeps the red blood, and draws on the hard work. The performance won bursts of applause from the audience.

This festival adheres to the people centered creative orientation, and strives to create a cultural and artistic event, a festival for the people, and a platform for cultural and tourism integration. In addition to the opening and closing ceremonies, it also set up more than 30 cultural and artistic boutique exhibitions, nearly 1000 performances and exhibitions, attracting more than 1000 artists to Guizhou.

Comrades in charge of relevant provincial departments, cultural and artistic circles, teachers and students of colleges and universities, and representatives of model workers watched the performance on the spot.
