Remember the revolutionary martyrs and inherit the heroic spirit. September 30 is the national martyrs' memorial day. On the morning of that day, the ceremony of laying flower baskets to heroes and martyrs on the martyrs' memorial day in Guizhou Province was held in Guiyang. The provincial party, government and military leaders, together with representatives from all walks of life, came to the Monument Square of Guizhou Martyrs Liberation in Qianling Mountain Park, presented flower baskets to the people's heroes, deeply remembered the revolutionary martyrs, inherited the red gene, continued the red blood, and gathered strong forces to promote the practice of Chinese style modernization in Guizhou.

Hu Zhongxiong, member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, secretary of Guiyang Municipal Party Committee and secretary of the Party Working Committee of Gui'an New Area, presided over the ceremony.

Flowers are dedicated to heroes, and mourning is dedicated to loyal souls. The Monument Square is verdant and solemn, and the Martyrs' Monument stands towering. Right in front of the monument, seven large flower baskets presented by all walks of life are arranged in a line. The red ribbon of the flower basket is inscribed with the golden characters "Immortality of the heroes and martyrs", which expresses the deep memory and high respect for the heroes and martyrs.

At about 10 a.m., the ceremony of presenting flower baskets officially began. Twelve guards marched to the monument and stood in front of it with guns. The whole audience sang the national anthem of the People's Republic of China in unison. The magnificent melody and loud singing echoed in the sky of the Monument Square for a long time. After the national anthem was sung, the audience stood in silence and mourned for the heroes and martyrs. After the silence, the Young Pioneers sang "We Are the Successors of Communism" and gave a team salute to the Young Pioneers. With the soulful melody of "Flower Offering", 14 ceremonial soldiers raised their flower baskets and marched forward, placing them solemnly on the base of the monument. Xu Linxing stops and stares at the flower basket and carefully arranges its ribbons. Later, the provincial party, government and military leaders and representatives from all walks of life walked slowly around the monument to express their deep feelings and respect for the heroes and martyrs.

About 1000 people, mainly responsible comrades, cadres and workers of the Party and government organs and people's organizations in Guizhou Province and Guiyang City, PLA, armed police officers and soldiers, public security officers, fire rescue personnel, veterans, comrades, martyrs' relatives and representatives from all walks of life attended the flower basket ceremony.
