A highway will be built to connect the scenery along the road, drive an industry, and benefit the local people. In 2023, the Jiangkou Fanjingshan Ring Road, one of the ten most beautiful rural roads in Guizhou, will draw a new picture.

The ring road from Jiangkou to Fanjing Mountain, which is composed of S305 Dalong Yachuan (Lianhua Avenue) Highway and X6C7 Xisi Heiwan River (Ruyi Avenue) Highway, meanders through the road. Buses full of tourists are encountered in the road, tourists who take photos in the pedestrian path or between the mountains and rivers, and busy farmhouses and homestays along the road, radiating around Fanjing Mountain with the road as the center.

The 30.44km long Jiangkou Fanjingshan Ring Road is gradually becoming the road for local people to move towards happiness.

"This road used to be a dirt road, and people basically walked through it." The Jiangkou Fanjingshan Ring Road passed through several villages and towns, recalled Gong Bin, member of the Taiping Town Party Committee, minister of armed forces and deputy mayor of Taiping Town.

In order to live, most villagers choose to go out to work. He Chaoming, a villager in Zhaibao Village of Taiping Town, is one of them.

"After the road is completed, water and electricity become more and more convenient. I transformed this wasteland into a farmhouse and returned to my hometown to start my own business. The opening of this road not only brings income opportunities to the villagers along the road, but also opens the way for agricultural and sideline products in the mountains. Pickled vegetables, dried bamboo shoots and other products can be transported along this road to surrounding counties and cities for sale.

It is understood that people along the Jiangkou Fanjingshan Ring Road have opened more than 600 tourism catering and home stay hotels, and the annual per capita income of people along the road has increased from 8000 yuan in 2016 to 46000 yuan. Through investment promotion, Nungfu Spring Base and Matcha Base have been built along the line to help local people increase employment and income.

"After the road was repaired, we also opened bus routes, which greatly guaranteed the travel safety of villagers." It is understood that 15 bus shelters and bus stops were set up along the road, and 30 minute bus service was implemented, making up for the shortcomings of rural public services along the road.

He is deeply impressed by the changes before and after the Jiangkou Fanjing Mountain Ring Road passes, "With the opening of tourism public transportation, in addition to team and self driving tours, more and more individual tourists come to the scenic spot to play by public transportation, which benefits from good road conditions."

After the road is repaired, how can we use, maintain and manage it well? Relevant local management and protection departments and the masses gave their own answers.

It is reported that Jiangkou County implements the marketization of maintenance, initiates the new mode of "integration of tourism and maintenance", reaches an agreement with the scenic spot management company on the joint maintenance of tourism routes, and realizes the new mode of "integration of tourism and maintenance" of road maintenance+tourism through deep integration with tourism enterprises, so as to comprehensively promote the high-quality development of "four good rural roads".
