The main bridge is a steel concrete composite girder cable-stayed bridge with a main span of 480m and double towers and cable planes, with a total length of 1720m. The main tower is a folded H-shaped reinforced concrete structure. The tower of Anshun quayside bridge is 300 meters high, which is currently the highest in the world among the folded H-shaped cable towers. During the construction process, the intelligent temperature control system and method of large size, super thickness and large volume concrete with intelligent temperature difference control were developed, which realized one-time pouring construction of the main tower cushion cap, saving more than 20 days of construction period for the project.

"At the beginning of the bridge design, we considered that the valley where we are located is a shallow 'U' shape. Reducing the bridge height will greatly increase the length of the tunnel connected to the bridge, while simply increasing the span cannot significantly reduce the tower height. Finally, we broke through the convention and adopted a new way to use the super high folded 'H' main tower, and the main span of 480m twin tower steel concrete composite beam cable-stayed bridge." Ye Hongping told reporters.

As the control project of the whole line of Du'an Expressway, the largest investment project in Guizhou highway history at that time, Yunwu Bridge was built under complex conditions and with a large construction volume, which also faced many difficulties.

In order to promote the construction of the bridge, many innovative technologies have emerged. During the construction of the main tower of the bridge, the project construction team developed an intelligent temperature control system, which realized the one-time pouring of 7360 cubic meters of concrete for the main tower cushion cap, and solved the problem of easy cracking of mass pouring concrete.

"It is recorded in the Kangxi Guizhou General Annals that: 'All the genera in Guizhou Province produce tea, and the cloud in Guiding is the most famous.' After the completion of the bridge, it will effectively help the development of the local tea industry, make tea transportation more convenient, and the integration of tea and tourism has also brought new ways for the local people to develop." Ye Hongping said that the cloud and fog bridge has not only brought about the development and change of the region, The bridge makes the three provinces in the southwest more closely linked, and further shortens the time and space distance between the southwest region and the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area, so as to effectively promote the high-quality economic and social development of the regions along the line. The so-called bridge is "crossing the clouds and fog to the north and south, one bridge flying across the Qingyun end, thousands of ravines to the road, and the high-speed plain is like Jiangnan."
