In 2023, the total telecom business volume of Guizhou Province will reach 46.32 billion yuan, with a year-on-year growth of 18.3%, ranking 12th in the country. The revenue of telecommunications business reached 38.44 billion yuan, up 6.6% year on year, ranking 14th in China. Internet business revenue reached 56.37 billion yuan, up 20.5% year on year. The investment in fixed assets of communication is 12 billion yuan. The contribution rate of information and communication related industries in the province to GDP growth reached 5.9%, driving the GDP growth of the province by 0.3 percentage points. The information and communication industry provides strong support and guarantee for the province's economic and social development and digital economy construction.

In the development of telephone users, 5G mobile phone users account for nearly half. By the end of 2023, the total number of telephone users in the province was 47.327 million, a net increase of 492000 over the end of the previous year. The penetration rate of fixed line telephones is 5.8/100 people; The penetration rate of mobile phones is 117/100 people.
