Five years ago, General Secretary Xi Jinping presided over a symposium for teachers of ideological and political theory courses in schools and delivered an important speech emphasizing that ideological and political theory courses are the key courses to implement the fundamental task of building morality and cultivating people. Youth is the "jointing and booting stage" of life, which needs careful guidance and cultivation. The cultivation and establishment of teenagers' values is like "buttoning the first button of life". When the first button is aligned, the remaining buttons can find the right position. Teenagers in the new era should be honest and honest, make contributions for a long time, find their own position and mission in the long river of the times, and aspire to be strivers.

Since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC), the CPC Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping at the core has attached great importance to the ideological and political work in schools, focused on strengthening the construction of the ideological and political teacher team, and made major decisions and arrangements. In terms of the basic direction of the construction of ideological and political courses, the integration of ideological and political courses in universities, middle schools and primary schools has accelerated, and the system of ideological and political courses with vertical connection, horizontal connection and spiral rise has gradually formed; In terms of the construction of the ideological and political teacher team, the organic coordination of the teacher team is constantly strengthened, and the value implication of the integration of training is constantly highlighted; In terms of building the ideological and political course resource platform, the development of education gradually has a stronger material foundation and school running conditions. The national financial education funds give priority to the education development in rural areas, border ethnic areas, old revolutionary base areas, and remote and poor areas, and the integration of urban and rural education is steadily advancing; In terms of teaching methods of ideological and political courses, the idea of teaching students in accordance with their aptitude has been deeply rooted in the hearts of the people. The value and knowledge, theory and practice of ideological and political courses are gradually unified, and the attraction of ideological and political courses is constantly increasing.

The ideological and political construction of curriculum is the key to improving the quality of school education and cultivating outstanding talents in the new era, and plays an important role in cultivating socialist builders and successors with all-round development of morality, intelligence, physique, beauty and labor. "The buttons of life should be buttoned up from the beginning". Teenagers are an important stage of personal values climbing over obstacles. We must seize this critical period to cultivate good young people in the new era who have ideals, dare to take responsibility, can bear hardships, and are willing to struggle. Last summer vacation, I was lucky to participate in the "You Are Far Away" volunteer education activity, came to Siqiao Primary School, Bailou Township, Sui County, Shangqiu City, Henan Province, and helped children "buckle the first button in life" by serving as the curriculum teacher of morality and life. In the process of supporting education, I incorporated the excellent traditional culture of the Chinese nation, which has been extensive and profound for thousands of years, into the teaching materials. At the same time, I used vivid and fresh cases to illustrate the revolutionary culture and advanced socialist culture forged by the people under the leadership of our party in the process of revolution, construction and reform. Children often ask questions actively in class to express their family feelings and ambitions. In order to stimulate the students' subjective role and the affinity of the course content, I introduced interesting current events in simple and understandable language, giving children more space to think, letting them inspire each other in free discussion, and planting seeds of truth, good and beauty in their minds through debate and reflection.

"Guiding young people to buckle the first button of life" deeply demonstrates the great love for the young generation, and is the concrete embodiment of our party's adherence to the people centered development of education. It is by no means a day's work to guide young people to form correct values. It is necessary for every aspirant who cares about the hope and future of the motherland to work together to create a good atmosphere in which the whole party and society work hard to run ideological and political courses, teachers earnestly teach ideological and political courses, and students actively learn them.
