According to the report of the Taiwan Business Times on March 11 on the March 13 of the reference news website, the Taiwan Federation of Industry recently conducted a survey of Taiwanese businessmen and found that more than 60% (67.9%) of the respondents would maintain their investment scale in the mainland in the next three to five years, and still be optimistic about the development potential of the mainland market.
According to the report, the Taiwan Federation of Industry, in order to understand the influence of the leadership election and geopolitics in Taiwan on Taiwan's investment and operation, especially investigates Taiwan businessmen who have invested in the mainland.
According to the survey, more than 40% of Taiwanese businessmen said they would "increase their investment in areas outside the mainland", and only about 10% (10.1%) said they "would consider ending their business operations in the mainland".The Taiwan Federation of Industry pointed out that this also shows that most Taiwanese businessmen tend to continue to maintain their strongholds and production lines in the mainland, rather than withdraw from the mainland, while increasing production capacity in areas outside the mainland.
When further inquiring about the operation plan for the next three to five years, more than 60% of Taiwanese businessmen said that their investment scale was "unchanged", 21.5% said that they would "reduce" their investment, and about 10% (10.6%) chose to "increase" their investment scale.
As for the reasons for considering "increasing" investment in the mainland, the order is "domestic demand market potential", "complete industrial supply chain" and "matching the layout of large brand factories".
Through the interview, the Taiwan Industry Association found that although Taiwan businessmen are aware of the cooling demand in the domestic market, they are still optimistic about the development potential of the mainland market in the long term, so they are willing to maintain the mainland business or increase investment in the mainland.
At the same time, because of the huge domestic demand market in the mainland, some European and American customers of Taiwan businessmen still want to expand their production lines in the mainland, and some manufacturers have gradually taken orders from mainland enterprises in recent years, so they must coordinate with the needs of mainland local brand manufacturers for layout.
