Xie Jianxuan believes that the statement of the government work report is a manifestation of the continuity of the work of the Central Committee on Taiwan, and also a booster for the "Opinions of the CPC Central Committee and the State Council on Supporting Fujian to Explore a New Road for Integrated Development across the Taiwan Straits and Build a Demonstration Zone for Integrated Development across the Taiwan Straits" issued last year. Xie Jianxuan said, "Taking myself as an example, I am currently employed in Fujian. In terms of daily scientific research work, I enjoy the same treatment as my compatriots in the mainland. Cai Mengxuan, a young Taiwanese who went to Fudan University in Shanghai to study for a doctorate in 2019, told the reporter that in the process of studying and living in Shanghai, he personally felt the rapid development of the mainland, and it was certainly not that some Taiwanese media and the Internet were full of negative stereotypes. In the process of cross Strait integration and development, I gradually changed from the role of tourists and strangers to the role of integrators and narrators, and then became a practitioner of cross Strait folk integration and development. Cai Mengxuan said, "Only through sincere exchanges and communication between the two sides can we have a deeper understanding of each other."

Cai Mengxuan believed that at present, it is more necessary to strengthen the integration and development of various dimensions of cross-strait folk. It is better to travel thousands of miles than to read thousands of books. When more and more people in Taiwan, especially the younger generation, have a "cross-strait view", the path of integration and development between the two sides of the Taiwan Straits can go further, deeper and wider. This is a good thing for the current cross-strait relations.
