On October 11, Guizhou Province held working talks with Peking University in Beijing and signed a strategic cooperation agreement between Guizhou Province and Peking University. Xu Lin, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Director of the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Congress, Li Bingjun, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Governor, Hao Ping, Secretary of the Party Committee of Peking University, and Gong Qihuang, President of Peking University attended the meeting. Peking University leaders Qiao Jie, Gu Tao, Ning Qi, Dong Zhiyong, Zhang Jin, Fang Fang, Jiang Guohua, provincial leaders Guo Xiwen and Zhang Jingping attended.

Xu Lin and Li Bingjun, on behalf of the provincial party committee and the provincial government, thanked Peking University for its long-term care and support for Guizhou's development. They said that at present, Guizhou is deeply implementing the spirit of the Third Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee and the spirit of the important speech made by General Secretary Xi Jinping during his visit to Guizhou, earnestly implementing the deployment of the National Education Conference, always putting education in the strategic position of priority development, and accelerating the construction of a strong province with distinctive education. We hope to take the signing of the strategic cooperation agreement as an opportunity to continue to deepen practical cooperation and promote the cooperation between provinces and schools to a new level.

Hao Ping and Gong Qihuang welcomed Xu Lin and Li Bingjun, thanked the Guizhou Provincial Party Committee and the provincial government for their support to Peking University, and introduced Peking University's new achievements and breakthroughs under the guidance of the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping's series of important speeches and letters of congratulations. They said that they would give full play to their own advantages, focus on the needs of Guizhou, promote deeper and higher level practical cooperation between the two sides, contribute more wisdom and strength to boost the high-quality development of Guizhou, and work together to serve the overall development of the country.

Zhang Jingping and Zhang Jin signed the cooperation agreement on behalf of both parties. According to the agreement, the two sides will carry out cooperation in strategic decision-making consultation, science and technology, education, talents, health care and other fields.
